Do we have Houston on Houston violence? Or is this something deeper? Hmm …
The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Houston Cougars squared off Saturday night in an in-state rivalry matchup, with the former walking away with a dominant 35-11 road victory over their counterpart. But that’s not what we’re here to discuss.
Rather, a crazy brawl erupted between fans at one point in the game, but it’s not exactly clear what kind of fans. When you first watch the video, you think that it’s a Cougar fan whoopin’ up on another Cougar fan, but a lot of the Houston faithful are saying that the guy wearing the blue polo is actually a Texas Tech fan and was in disguise, and that he was the one who started up everything. With that being said, nothing has been confirmed, so just take everything with a grain of salt for now. Now the real crime to me here … well, except for the whole beating the hell out of each other thing … is the fact that one of the fans got their absolutely gorgeous Warren Moon-era Houston Oilers throwback jersey bloodied up in the brawl. And holy hell, what a waste of a beautiful jersey.
But you know how college kids are, they’re idiots … you can watch the chaos unfold here.
What a shame.
